The University of Twente is offering a fully funded PhD position in GeoArtificial Intelligence for Mapping Vegetation Dynamics as part of the EARTHONE Horizon Europe project. This research aims to leverage AI and geospatial data to understand vegetation seasonality, landuse changes, and climate impact.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have:

• An MSc degree in geospatial science, computer science, environmental science, or related fields.
• Strong programming skills (preferably in Python).
• Experience with geospatial modeling, machine learning, and spatial statistics.
• Excellent English communication skills (Dutch proficiency is a plus).
• Background knowledge in climate change, ecology, or phenology (preferred but not mandatory).
